Why?

I was born and raised in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela. On June 24th, 2026, two significant earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5, struck Caracas and La Guaira. I experienced the unfolding events like many in the diaspora: feeling powerless, thousands of miles away, constantly refreshing my phone for updates about my loved ones. You can watch an AI-generated video on what happened down there here. At times, it is not so much about how things are made, more about the information in it.

However, an unexpected turn of events occurred. I reestablished contact with old school friends from my hometown, individuals I had not communicated with for years. Through them, I was introduced to a small group of nurses they had studied alongside, who had since relocated to Caracas. These nurses are now dedicating their time to collect donations, procure medicine and supplies, and personally deliver them to the most affected areas.

This initiative is not a faceless organization. It involves individuals with whom I share a genuine connection, engaging in hands-on work. They send me photographs of every invoice, every box of supplies, and every delivery, as I requested transparency, and they recognize the significance of trust at this moment, particularly in a country like Venezuela, where corruption has long deprived many of hope.

Some volunteers are going beyond what I anticipated. A few of these same individuals, along with their families, friends, and coworkers, have been traveling to La Güaira, one of the most severely impacted regions, bringing medicines and much needed medical tools that are nowhere to be found due to the already pre-existing poor situation and circumstances of the country, such as: tensiometers, flow meter, gauze, and much, much more...

What?

Every contribution, including cryptocurrency donations (Monero), is directed entirely towards:

  • Medicine for hospitals and clinics overwhelmed by the influx of injured individuals.
  • Our current main focus is to supply affected Venezuelans with as much medicine and supplies as possible, to relief. Eventually, if there's interest in the community funding, we might start looking into individual cases, to sponsor, raise funds to cover the expenses of bone prosthesis, since there are many amputated people, from the doublet earthquake aftermath.

Video proof of all medicine purchased thus far, is part of this testimonial video you can find at the footer of this proposal's description and attached to this fundraiser, you can find multiple receipts, items and amounts in bolivars, our currency.

How Much?

In case you missed it, I already ran an initial Kuno fundraiser, that collected around ~$1.5k in total (5 XMR.) I am creating this second fundraiser because the first one was full in less than three (3) days — thank you very much! That only signals that there is an interest and support, in providing the much needed relief for (some) of them.

Therefore, for this one, I am aiming for double that amount in this case: ~$3000 worth of XMR at current market rate rounds to: ~9.05 XMR; I am asking for Ten (10) XMR even, no more or less; ~3.3k... to be able to cover more than what we already took care of, and make it last more than a week, like initial funds. Since the government does not do its job, it is us, and other countries' helpers; however, allocated international help on the ground (human or otherwise) does not suffice for the demand: we, people-to-people have to help each other, even if it's just bit by bit, grain of salt by grain of salt. I am simply forwarding funds and keeping everything and everyone, accountable. Coordinating.

Other ongoing proposals, all run by me: Geyser; and Firo's CS, here. Personal website: rottenhouse. As a reference of who I am or where am I getting the message out there on this!

As for cost of each item, please understand it is hard for me to quantify such a thing, especially when I am simply forwarding the money and they are exchanging FIRO/XMR/BTC/USDt (anything flies) for Bolivars, our actual fiat currency, to be able to purchase such medicines and tools. Antibiotics, thermal cameras, gauze, gloves, masks, you call it. I cannot keep track of how many hours I am working, but I can swear on my life and everything I have and don't have, I am working full-time on all proposals I am running for or that have been fully funded.

I used CoinGecko's market rate and live site calculator.

Why Me?

I may have left Venezuela, but Venezuela has never left me. San Cristóbal is my home; Táchira is my home. And at this moment, home is in pain. I feel like I need to do something; we need to do something. All I could ever possibly need to help home land are: screens, reliable Internet connection, funds, unequivocal will to help, and most importantly: trustworthy, verifiable Venezuelans to work with!

Adding a testimonial video here, in it, a couple of volunteers explicitly send a shout out to the Firo community, while showing a substantial amount of supplies and medicine.
