Freedom Deserves a Second Chance
It’s been over a decade since Ross Ulbricht, the visionary behind the Silk Road, was taken from the freedom-loving crypto community. For daring to explore the boundaries of decentralized marketplaces and champion personal liberty, Ross was handed an unimaginable life sentence. Now, with hopes rising that he might soon walk free, we’re rallying the community for a fundraiser to support him – but with a twist.
We’re raising donations in Monero, through KUNO, because this time, privacy is the priority. Part of Ross’s capture stemmed from Bitcoin’s traceability, which ultimately exposed him. But today, Monero represents a symbol of the true privacy he championed. Let’s use the tools that embody Ross’s vision to help him now when he needs it most.
Why does this matter?
Ross wasn’t just a pioneer for digital marketplaces – he was a pioneer for an idea: that people should be able to transact freely, without fear of surveillance. This is the same goal of development/maintenance/upgrades of Monero. His legacy influenced an entire generation of crypto innovators and privacy advocates who continue to fight for a world where privacy and liberty coexist.
This fundraiser isn’t just about Ross – it’s about standing up for every dreamer and innovator challenging the status quo. Ross believed in personal freedom, and he paid a heavy price for that belief. Now, as we look to a future where he may soon be free, we have a chance to give back.
How You Can Help:
-Donate in Monero via KUNO: Every contribution sends a message – that we believe in a world where freedom is valued over control, and privacy is a right, not a privilege.
-Spread the Word: Share this with your network far and wide. The fight for freedom and privacy is universal – and the more voices we have, the stronger our message becomes.
-Stand for Privacy and Freedom: This isn’t just about Ross; it’s about standing against the erosion of personal freedom in a digital age. Every donation shows we’re committed to a future where privacy isn’t compromised.
Together, we’re sending a powerful message: the freedom community doesn’t forget its own, and it certainly doesn’t back down when freedom is on the line.
Join us as we support Ross Ulbricht and build the future of digital freedom he inspired.
The keys to this wallet are securely held by trusted, longtime Monero community members—Doug from MoneroTopia and Vik from Cake Wallet—until they can be safely passed on or transferred to Ross himself.
$500 of the proceeds will be used to commission a large 1/1 artwork painted specially for Ross and his family, by prolific Monero artist Sidart0.
The funds and painting will be presented to Ross during an event hosted by Cake Wallet and Monerotopia.
