What's Monero.Jobs?
Monero.Jobs aims to be a privacy-first freelance marketplace, where jobs are exclusively paid in Monero. This way, it fosters real-world adoption of Monero, by connecting projects / companies with freelancers. In a world where financial surveillance has become the norm, it's important for us to have platforms that foster a censorship-resistant economy, by enabling secure and anonymous transactions, especially when it comes to getting paid for work. Ultimately, Monero.Jobs seeks to make Monero a practical tool for everyday earning, not just speculation, by bridging freelancers with opportunities worldwide and across diverse digital disciplines.
What's the Status Quo?
Initially I have started to build monero.jobs with Lovable, powering what you can see on the website (monero.jobs), so far:
- A clean, functional landing page and core site structure, monero.jobs, complete with a professional design emphasizing privacy and ease of use.
- Backend foundation for job postings, user profiles, and basic marketplace functionality.
- However, I am experimenting currently a bit with Claude; while it helped with certain problems I had before, it also opened up new ones.
- Manual developer support will be needed for sure; I have technical understanding of many kinds of code, but I am not a dev myself.
In preparation:
- Fully fledged marketing plan, with my reach as CR1337 + my network as foundation (I got 10+ years in Online Marketing under my belt)
- Secure, on-chain Monero payments to ensure seamless transactions between clients and freelancers (but not sure if I can pull it off in the Alpha)
What will be completed until full Beta launch?
- Adding advanced features such as detailed job categories, search/filter tools, freelancer ratings/reviews, messaging system, ..
- Manual development (need to hire a dev) for multiple issues that I (will) encounter on the way, as well as a thorough security check.
- Full OnSite optimization (SEO).
- Potentially (!) implement secure Monero payment processing, including escrow-like mechanisms for dispute resolution and automated payouts.
- Performing extensive beta testing with the Monero community.
- Officially launch the platform with initial marketing to attract early job listings and freelancers.
- Marketing campaign & community outreach kick-off.
What does the Budget Planning look like?
I'm seeking to raise 15 XMR (approximately $7,000 USD at current rates) to accelerate development over the next months.
This budget will be used mainly for my own time, as well as third party developers, who would help me to fix some bugs and check security aspects before launch, plus infrastucture, hosting & an initial marketing budget for community giveaways and cross-promotion events with other Monero projects.
Progress will be tracked publicly via updates on X (@CR1337) and the Monero.Jobs blog, with milestones like feature releases tied to funding goals. Any surplus will roll over to future expansions, such as mobile app development.
By supporting Monero.Jobs, you're not just funding a website, you're investing in a more free, more private future where work and wealth are shielded from surveillance. Donate today via this Kuno fundraiser and help build the Monero economy we all deserve.
Every XMR counts, let's make privacy the default!
ETA for Beta launch, fully functional: End of March 2026, if at least ~40% of the total is funded short-term.
