Support with medical/hospital bill for my wife's surgery
Hello,
I write this because I hope that some of you can help out.
Background: The doctors discovered while checking for the reason of a sort of anemia that my wife has a big cyst (myoma), around 6.5 cm in diameter, attached to her uterus. It must be surgically removed through a myomectomy to be able to have a baby and stop her strong menstrual bleeding (Thats why anemia).
We are from Mexico and we still want to have one baby (now we have none). First we went to the public health system (IMSS) and we wanted to go along with them, until the doctors told us that the risk, that they will just cut out her uterus is at 20 % (!).
I investigated and found out that generally the risk is more like at 3 % (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37777107/).
That is a stark difference!
But at the social security they insisted that for every 5th woman it means "say goodbye to your wish to have babies".
For me this could only mean the quality or the effort the doctors put there is very very low.
Secondly, they told us that the doctor that did all the scans and preliminary check most likely will NOT attend the myomectomy. Meaning the most experienced with her case won't even be there. This raises the risk further
What to do: We want to go ahead and pay priate for the myomectomy, so my wifes uterus can be saved and we can still have a child. We found a very capable doctor that said that the surgery is nothing very complicated or uncommon and the risk that my wife will lose the uterus is minimal. We have enough money to pay the doctor and the procedure (Around 50000 MXN), but...
What is missing:
...We need help with the money for the clinic. This is the lesser part. The clinic asks for 27000 MXN or today around 4.32 XMR or 1500 USD to "rent" the operating room and equipment.
I really hope that the Monero Community will once again show their amazingness. Even if we can just get to the half of the money needed, it will help a lot! It will make us very happy. The only sad thing is that we will have to sell the XMR, becauset he clinic does not accept Monero :( (but I will do my best to talk with them about accepting Monero)
To proof the case I attached some pictures of the document, about the costs, from the clinic.
I will try to update you on the process as best as possible.
