Update:
Hello, this is Ashley and I am now a college freshman. I want to thank everyone who supported this fundraiser. I now have a PC, which I even set up myself (you may see it here: https://t.me/Ash_PC) . I’m also grateful to my grandaunt, who is supporting both me and my sister in our studies. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Major in Blockchain Technology at AMA Computer College.
I wanted to take a BS in Blockchain Technology course but, unfortunately, it is not yet available at the nearest AMACC branch I am currently attending. They said it's currently only offered at their main campus, AMA University, in Manila, which is about an 8-hour trip from where I live and the campus I am attending to already takes me almost an hour to travel to every day. I didn’t want to take my grandaunt’s generosity for granted, so I did not bother asking her about going there as it would obviously involve more expenses.
I hope I can graduate without needing to take any remedial classes or repeating a year, so I can find work immediately and start earning : )

Hello, I'm Ashley, a Grade 12 senior high school student in the Philippines, and I'm reaching out to seek your help.
Unfortunately, I come from a financially disadvantaged background, which is a common situation in the Philippines. My father was unable to complete his high school education, while my mother, although she graduated college with an AB English degree, suffers from schizoaffective disorder, which has prevented her from being able to work. I also have a younger sibling who is currently a Grade 9 student at the same school I attend.
My father's employment is not stable; he takes on various jobs such as farming, construction work, cooking, and other odd jobs he's capable to do to earn money. However, his income is insufficient to support our entire family, especially considering that my mother requires regular medical treatment and counseling for her disorder.
Due to our financial limitations, I had to withdraw from the final semester of Grade 12 last year. Although I was supposed to graduate, I was unable to do so. Thankfully, I have managed to enroll again this year and am taking the necessary subjects to graduate and pursue college. As a matter of fact, I am planning to study Bachelor of Science in Blockchain Technology in college.
As a student, particularly when entering college, having a reliable laptop is crucial for my studies. It will enable me to pursue my dreams and expand my knowledge. I will need it for countless hours of studying and completing my school requirements.
TBH, I received a laptop back in 2019 as a gift from a distant relative, but it's now malfunctioning (need to change the battery, case, hinges, SSD, power supply, touchpad, and keyboard). It's obviously more practical to buy a new one than to repair it.
A decent laptop like the Vivobook 16 MB335WS could cost around $582 and up. To anyone who is willing and can provide support, please consider donating. No matter how small the contribution, it will make a significant difference for me, and I will be extremely grateful.
I understand that the amount of money needed is substantial, and it may take a while to reach the fundraising goal, or we may not reach it at all. Nonetheless, I would like to seize this opportunity and give it a try.
Thank you for your generosity and for trusting me, even though we don't know each other.
