Last Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at around 6 p.m., Venezuela was struck by two earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, just seconds apart. The double quake has had profoundly devastating consequences for the country, particularly in the north-central region. It caused the collapse of dozens of infrastructure projects, left hundreds of families displaced and living outdoors out of fear of aftershocks, left thousands of people missing, and created an urgent need for basic supplies for the survivors.

Although 48 hours have already passed, the situation continues to unfold; hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries have overwhelmed the healthcare system, and the response from authorities and civilians is insufficient given the magnitude of the crisis. In these moments of humanitarian crisis, every little bit helps, and all support is significant.

For this reason, we have decided to launch this fundraising campaign on Kuno using Monero (XMR). The use of Web3 tools allows us to receive international support directly.

Our goal with this fundraising campaign is to immediately convert every donation into essential supplies for the hardest-hit areas, prioritizing:

• Essential medicines and medical supplies.
• Non-perishable food
• Tools
• Diapers for children and adults
• Infant formula

We know that trust is everything, especially on digital platforms. Although Monero protects the privacy of donors, we are firmly committed to transparency regarding how funds are used. We have also decided to set an achievable goal for this campaign for our global community: 6.5 XMR (approx. $2,089.80 USD).
