We are an anonymous group on the Tor network that gives away music and art for free and we are doing a totally non-obligatory fundraiser to raise money for a new permanent onion site! We specialise in all music genres including: classical, pop, rock, funk, country, techno, soul, hip hop, folk, lofi, experimental, and more! Basically what we do is a fusion of mainstream music with experimental sounds, all with a DIY ethos. We are on our own as a group of five and have no backing from anyone whatsoever. We aim to be unique, unconventional, and public while preserving our anonymity.

Although we cannot reveal our location or anything that may potentially deanonimise us, we are able to talk a bit briefly about our situation. Now, believe it or not, ALL OF US have jobs in real life outside of ГОМК, and are paid livable wages. But we can't transfer money associated with our real life identities to our Monero wallet by methods like cash by mail even though Monero is anonymous because there is a risk of that money getting lost or stolen.

See, we live in an area where it is most likely for mailed cash to raise legal issues or attract unwanted attention. We also live in an area that, although not very concerned about users who use Tor, IS kind of suspicious about anyone who uses cryptocurrency of any kind, to the point that the legal regulations surrounding it can be stringent.

In addition, we heavily rely on word of mouth marketing through temporary links and social media because we don't want to spend too much on advertising, and we host our files on various file hosting websites such as Tempsend and Fileconvoy. However, recently our latest file hosting provider Tempsend has removed all our files months before their expiration dates without notice, and we were not able to reupload the files again. These circumstances have made us realise that maybe a website might be more necessary for us to make promoting our music more effective.

That's why we are raising funds to start a permanent website that lasts more than a year and is able to store larger files, without them being taken away from us. With your support, we can offer a bigger and better website with more interactive features - no JavaScript required. Donations can help ensure our long-term sustainability and enhance our services and quality even more. There are often hidden costs associated with operations like administrative expenses and marketing. And there is a high chance we MIGHT face an emergency that may require additional funding.
